Honey Garlic Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chops from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar to the skillet. Stir to combine and let the sauce simmer for about 2 minutes until it starts to thicken.
  5. Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Let them cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  6. Remove from heat and let the pork chops rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Tips and Variations

Tip:

For a slightly spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.

Variation:

If you prefer, you can substitute chicken breasts for pork chops. Adjust cooking time as necessary.
