Honey Garlic Pork Chops
Ingredients
- 4 boneless pork chops
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chops from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar to the skillet. Stir to combine and let the sauce simmer for about 2 minutes until it starts to thicken.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Let them cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Remove from heat and let the pork chops rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Tips and Variations
Tip:
For a slightly spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
Variation:
If you prefer, you can substitute chicken breasts for pork chops. Adjust cooking time as necessary.
