This creamy garlic mushroom pasta delivers deep, savory satisfaction in every bite. With perfectly sautéed mushrooms and a garlic-infused Parmesan cream sauce, it’s the kind of weeknight dinner that feels indulgent without the fuss.


Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 300g fettuccine or spaghetti

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced

  • 400g mushrooms (cremini or button), sliced

  • 200ml heavy cream

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • ¼ tsp chili flakes (optional)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

  • Zest of ½ lemon (optional)


Instructions

1. Cook the Pasta
Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.

2. Sauté the Mushrooms
Heat olive oil and butter in a wide skillet over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms and let them brown undisturbed for 3–4 minutes. Stir occasionally until tender and golden. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

3. Build the Cream Sauce
Lower the heat and pour in the cream. Stir in Parmesan until fully melted and smooth. Add salt, black pepper, and optional chili flakes to taste.

4. Combine with Pasta
Add drained pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. Use a splash of reserved pasta water if needed for extra creaminess.

5. Garnish and Serve
Top with chopped parsley and optional lemon zest. Serve hot with extra Parmesan if desired.
